To all who participated in the Buick Club’s Western Cape All GM event on 1 November 2009.
Firstly, thank you to all for attending the event. Your presence ensured its success. We all know the effort, preparation and cost that goes into participating in events. Some like Bertie Bester, Tienie Marais and new member Michael Cummings brought two cars. We appreciate your special effort.
Thank you most sincerely Leonard and John for planning and organizing the event and securing the lovely venue at Kobus and Ina Rossouw’s home. All enjoyed it and there were some very interesting and unusual cars on show. Kobus and his family went to a lot of trouble to ensure that their lovely large, well treed and grassed property was in pristine condition for this show. A very big thank you to Kobus and his family for allowing us the use of his home, the braai fires, all the amenities and viewing his collection of classic, hotrods and other special cars. The hospitality and kindness of our Western Cape members and Classic car enthusiasts is always in the true tradition of our South African culture. It makes me proud to be South African.
Thank you also to our Chairman Alex Duffey and three of our committee members Daan, George and Chris for travelling down from Gauteng to attend the event.
Really nice to meet up with Peter Breitenstein, all the way from Namibia.
